Acknowledgement and gratitude

Wow. I had no idea.

I’m midway through the edits on Chapter 4 of The Forked Tongue… and I am overwhelmed by the amount of work that redhead_sue was willing to invest in the course of editing this beast. I expected a few grammatical errors and some typos- but the real boogeymen are bad grammatical/ typing habits I had no idea I was inflicting on the unsuspecting reader.

Page after page of the same recurring mistakes…I’m amazed she did not just throw the whole thing on the fire. She did a lot of work – good work -and I am in her debt. I am also never going to misspell the word “except” again, nor will I screw up my punctuation/ quotation mark interactions. Mea Culpa.

And thank you, Sue. Thank you very, very much.

  1. Wow, I’m blushing. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m really glad I decided to go back a few days and read the posts I missed while on vacation!

Thanks for this, Flagg. To be appreciated really does mean a lot. No mea culpa necessary – that’s what proofreaders are for. I’m so glad I was able to help, and thrilled to hear that you think you’ll have the book done in time for TES Fest. It’s an excellent book, and I look forward to seeing it go out into the world!
