I just did the last review of the Galleys of TFT, tatsumi_girl did an incredible job giving it life. I should have a proof copy in my hand by the end of the week. I will have to resist the impulse to shred it, roll naked in the scraps, and flog the bishop like a chimp in front of a third grade field trip. I’m pretty psyched.
It looks good. Really, really good.
Tomorrow is a Flaming Hoop day- my potential donor goes for what we believe to be the last test to get an answer. I’m a trifle tense about this, so I’m going to stick with TFT news instead.
There is a book signing at TES Fest that I have been invited to take part in, and I’m all over it. The only hurdle is coming up with enough scratch to get my hands on a sufficient number of advance copies- an additional 2 or 3 hundred bucks I just don’t have after dental work. I will, however, find a way, even if I have to charge a quarter to preschoolers for stump rides (instead of my usual fifty cents).
Then, I can just sit back and wait for the lawsuits and criminal charges to come a’rolling in…

just a thought.. perhaps if you let people pre-order with paypal or sending you a check, etc? it should pay for a number of copies (one right here, anyway, lol) and then you have a lesser amount you need to front.

And yes, I’d be willing to prepay for a copy as well, if you can figure out a way that’s convenient for you to do that.
I bet those preschoolers would even go up to a dollar for a really good stump ride…
